A black and white long range shot of a partial moon, taken from my back garden in South Wales. A waxing moon in black and white shows the craters and detail beautifully.
The night sky is fascinating on a clear night, and takes some effort to capture. The moon was gorgeous, and I wanted to try to photograph it, and get all the detail. Our closest space neighbour is 238,855 miles away, how would I make my 70-300mm telephoto lens manage that?
The short version is a little Google help, a steady tripod, and playing with the manual settings instead of relying on the auto, and semi-auto settings.
