GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation

Any website that collects any data that might identify you has a responsibility to take special care with that information. I have an obligation to tell you if your data is stored anywhere, or is collected and used for any purpose. You have the right to know what that purpose might be.

This is all a result of new regulations that came into effect during May 2018 – GDPR. But what is GDPR?

I only collect data in 2 places.

This gives me an aggregated overview of how many people visit the site, which country they come from, and which browser they use. It helps me make sure the site works with those browsers, and to see if people are visiting.

The Very Infrequent Newsletter.

For this you need to give your explicit consent for me to send you the newsletter. It asks for an email address, and there is the option to add more information. If you want to know what information I have, please just ask, and I’ll let you know.

If you decide you don’t want that information kept any longer, just let me know and I’ll delete the records for you. There’s unsubscribe, and manage subscription options at the bottom of every newsletter email.

I will never share or pass on your information unless there is a good, and legal, reason to do so.
