Sales again - August.

Filed under: Sales, The Portal Between — Tags: , , — admin @ 1:37 pm

Sales figures for August are in and The Portal Between is still averaging between 5 and 7 copies sold every month since appearing on Amazon and being generally available.

It’s not millions but it’s a start and everyone has to start somewhere. and hopefully the release of the second book in the series, The Portal Sundered, will boost numbers in a couple of months.

Lily’s eyes are blue….

But Gillian’s eyes are green. I think, certainly not the ice blue I had in my head for Lily. How much would it matter? Her hair isn’t quite right either. But just look at the expression, look at the eyes - isn’t that just stunning?

Still in single figures, but still trickling in and hopefully soon I’ll start to see the actual sales channels showing up instead of a single consolidated figure.

New Retail Sales Reporting from Lulu.

I got my retail sales figures through and it was five. But who sold those five books? Was it Amazon? Was it Tesco? Waterstones? Because some of them were people I vaguely know, I know that two at least were through Amazon, but the others? I’d like to be able to track where sales are happening so that I can target any marketing I do.

So, this email from Lulu is very welcome indeed! (more…)

The Sales Figures Are….

Filed under: Sales, Where to buy — Tags: — admin @ 12:03 am

***Drumroll Please***

Umm, Five.

Still, anything larger than Zero was going to be good as April was a mess with distribution and the title filtering slowly into place, and that continued into part of May.

I did work something out though - Sales for the current month are reported during the first few days of the following month - so the Five are from April 27th until May 26th and retail sales from May 27th until June 26th will be reported at the beginning of July. That’s very very fast.

Now, who hasn’t bought a copy yet? A list of online and high street stores where you can buy your copy of The Portal Between can be found on the Sarah Barnard Links Page.

Go on, what are you waiting for?
