Casting Lily.
Hypothetically, what if someone, one day wants to make the Portal Series into films? Or one of those BBC drama mini-series?
Starting with Lily first as she is the central point for the entire saga…..
Lily was a bit shorter than Kate, but not by much. Her eyes were icy blue but laced with a compassionate humour. Her dark hair touched with red, hung in soft waves to just below her shoulders. Today she wore a soft knitted hat and the curls had tightened in the cold damp air so they spilled out in a soft unruly haze.

Gillian Anderson? I have had her in mind since I wrote the Portal Between in 2005 and I’ve just watched the X Files film and she could do it. She’s got the poise, that authority and the humanity as well as looking right. Anyone got any other suggestions for Lily?
Kate in a day or two I think, after I’ve had a browse about but I have an idea for her too. It’s Sam I’m struggling with. Get your thinking caps on for other characters too please.
I can see Julianne Moore as Lily.
