Child of the Portal
Or Portals? Not sure yet, but I’m 10,000 or so words into book three in the Portal series.
I do, however, need a break from Kate, Lily and Sam.
I also need to keep my mind in The Portal Sundered until editing is done on that.
So, I have a post apocalyptic tale loosely based on the floods in 2007, or I have a sci fi tale set in the future where people are living on other worlds but society is just as corrupt as it is now, and even more so in some places.
Do I write more about Susan, Ellie and Jocelyn - with their friends Niamh, Heather, Carol and her kids and their struggle to cope after the internet goes down, the national grid fails and society falls apart….. Or, do I go and see how Maddox and Isidro are doing on Redux with emerging telepathy, Matriarchal power and a strange little lifeform called the Deedlebug, or maybe the Doodlebug….
Maddox or Susan? I think I need a large mug of fresh tea and a batch of welsh cakes while I decide.
